 The Tekton Oilfield Services system has been specially designed for use by businesses that provide equipment, personnel, and associated services to the Oil & Gas industry. Oilfield Services is a fully integrated part of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise business system.

Oilfield Overview
 The Tekton Oilfield Services system is a fully integrated software package, designed for Oil & Gas related projects.
The project costing allows you to track progress against budget, with the ability to roll-up figures from sub-jobs. The extensive invoicing and analysis options provide flexibility, and can reduce time spent at month-end from days to minutes, with instant reporting, and revenue projections.
Utilisation of assets can be improved based on the detailed statistical analysis available in the system. Real-time data transforms your decision-making process, and enables you to drive your business forward with renewed confidence.
An International Solution
Taking advantage of Microsoft’s worldwide coverage, the system is available for deployment in over 100 countries, providing local legislation, language, and multi-currency support. This allows for both independent processing and consolidated reporting.
International movements of equipment and personnel can be tracked, and associated documentation linked, to provide a comprehensive system for monitoring and analysing your assets.
As your Company expands internationally, your management system can be extended in a structured and affordable way.
Equipment Tracking
Equipment may be tracked from purchase and/or manufacture through to despatch, installation, transfer, return, inspection, and maintenance.
The equipment record is the main point for control, storing a range of information including:
- Status/Location
- Technical details
- Historical details
- Inspection/Servicing records
- Link to Fixed Assets
- Link to Manufacturing
Tools may be configured with attachments and re-configured, linked to version control. A calendarised view of assets provides a quick snapshot of availability.
International Transfers
Equipment may be moved between countries, with Customs documentation attached, and dates of entry/exit noted.
Personnel
Building on the HR module of Dynamics NAV, the Personnel management and hiring system complements the Equipment Tracking. Key features include:

Project Costing
 With our hierarchical project/job framework, allied to a user-definable cost code structure, you can set up, track, and manage your projects.
Using the real-time availability of data, you will be better placed to make informed decisions. The drilldown capability provides exceptional access to information not just for project costing, but throughout the entire system.
Deal Pricing & Billing
Rates may be per day, week, month, or lump sum. Using the Rental Deals option, specific rates can be set up per job, customer, tool, person, or any groups of these.
Onshore/offshore rates, along with mobilisation/de-mobilisation, and variable rates, can be utilised.
Invoicing frequency may be periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, or event-driven, ie end of hire). Invoicing is generally in arrears, but the system allows for advance billing. The automated billing routines enable invoices to be raised without any being missed.
There are options for rental billing, selling, credit notes, and sale-or-return (eg for repair kits).
Ease of Use
The Microsoft look-and-feel makes the system easy to operate. Full compatibility with other Microsoft products, such as Excel, Word, and Project extends the system further.
Configuration to Suit
The system benefits from all the standard Microsoft Dynamics NAV features, such as flexible configuration of screens, reports, etc, and the ability for the user to add new fields easily. This enables the system to be adapted to suit your business, not the other way round.
Management Reporting
Microsoft Dynamics NAV provides a wide range of reporting as standard from within the system. However, in addition users can create their own reports using the in-built report writer or by using a reporting tool such as Jet Reports, or via SQL Reporting Services.
Reports can be sent to a printer, faxed, emailed, published on the web, or extracted to PCs, or incorporated into Group systems.
Integration Across the Organisation
A major benefit of Tekton ’s Oilfield Services solution is that it uses the same database and code as the other Microsoft Dynamics NAV modules and as such it is a truly integrated system.
