CIT covers all routes to winning work, including traditional tendering and design and build. This includes the ability to scan or electronically import BoQ’s, mark-up, issue and manage sub-contractor and material packages, price at a detailed resource up to lump sum cost/m2 levels, manage project resource rates, perform detailed adjudication through the application, and report comprehensively on all elements of the job for internal use or client issue. Additionally, CIT has further integrated modules for take-off/measurement, cost planning, historic benchmarking, and Post Contract. CIT is in daily use by a number of the UK and Ireland’s leading Contractors and Contracting Services Organisations.
The software is developed on the latest windows technologies and runs on all supported Windows environments (including Terminal Server and Citrix for wide area and Internet access). It is intuitive and easy to use, offering a familiar Windows ™ environment for inexperienced computer users and spreadsheet users, matched against a tight functional process for tendering. The access to information for reporting through familiar Microsoft outputs is unrivalled.
The system can be deployed stand-alone, or multi-user. Any project can be shared or secured, and all projects are stored in a methodology that allows them to be re-used for the pricing of current work. The scalability of the system is unparalleled in this area.
Delivering the Solution
CIT recognises customer services as a key part of the business. Implementations can be based on a standard configuration, where the system is delivered out of the box in a turn-key manner, with installation and training actions taking place. Alternatively, CIT can utilise a detailed delivery methodology designed to facilitate the adoption & full use of the tool for those businesses undergoing major change (in terms of the pre-to-post contract processes or broader management information systems implementations).
Going Live
CIT users are fully supported through all stages of the implementation, the ‘go live’ stage and beyond to daily usage. Supporting our users is the cornerstone of the CIT business. Each CIT client is managed via our internal support systems that details the specific CIT configurations, all user details, training, support histories etc… CIT offer ‘service level agreement’ response times, covered by telephone, e-mail and remote access dial-up support to ensure all problems are resolved ina timely manner. All support staff are industry aware, and are backed by our technical development team as required.
For Added Value Integration
CIT can offer the best forward integrated estimating system in the market. CIT has defined links with the leading construction business management systems, EVision. We have the largest development team working on an estimating software suite in the UK market place, which allows us to address any of our client’s systems integration requirements to deliver the best added value interfaces. These interfaces including surveyor post-contract downloads, procurement, supply chain and vendor database links, and job/contract budgets at a summarised cost code, cost head or detailed resource level of detail.
After the Implementation
CIT target 2 releases a year of the CIT solution, made available to our users as part of the annual support and maintenance fee. This meets with our evolutionary development methodology, where we continually review existing functions and new methods of working to enhance the product forward. A CIT account manager will ensure the solution continues to meet the demands of your changing business, introducing new modules, and managing/delivering development requests.
