Intuita Ltd and EVision Ltd, which are both headed up by entrepreneur Richard Beaton, have been brought together into a single organisation to be known as Tekton Group Ltd.
Manchester-based Intuita, a leading supplier of software to major companies within the construction industry, underwent a management buy-out in December 2005. Later that month Intuita announced its merger with EVision as part of an ambitious buy and build strategy.
EVision based in Livingston, Scotland, is one of the UK’s leading providers of business information systems the SME market within the construction sector.
And today we can confirm that, Tekton Group Ltd has completed on a further acquisition. Construction Information Technologies (CIT), a premier provider of work winning and doing software solutions to the same sectors.
Based in Staffordshire, CIT has a strong customer base which includes household names such as Carillion, Skanska, Kier Group, John Sisk & Sons and Lovell Partnerships. CIT was originally founded in 1993 by Derek Bailey and is committed to servicing the estimating and surveyor valuation applications needs of the UK construction industry.
This latest acquisition further broadens Tekton’s product portfolio to include estimating and post contract valuation functionality. This is another key element to their business and will enable Tekton to further pursue its aim of providing a high quality, all round service to clients.
Richard Beaton, Tekton’s chairman thought it made sense to bring together two established products which are both market leaders in their own niches - EVision and Intuita.
Tekton are continuing with their strategic plan to grow the business and acquire other construction software vendors. They are pursuing opportunities and are delighted to have CIT on board which will further enhance their product and service offering.
The name Tekton derives from the Greek word for builder and has been well received by staff and clients alike.
